Voices for Shelter Animals

Voices for Shelter Animals is a local animal advocacy group fighting for No Kill, Shelter Reform and making NY Humane for Companion and Non-Companion Animals since 2016. We show up , we speak up and advocate for those who cannot. We are one of the most active groups in this city targeting this issue. We advocate for legislation and life saving policy change in the NY shelters and attempting to get help for pet guardians to keep their pets. We lobby for legislation. There is an unprecedented homeless animal crisis post Covid and the state of affairs for homeless animals is dire as well as for many pet guardians. Many animals are being senselessly killed and being abandoned in record numbers and we have a community cat crisis also out of control. We need communities to work together and we need to pressure elected officials to do the morally correct and humane thing, help the most vulnerable population... the homeless animals.
