Volunteer Assistant

I am a small organization, I have a secretary, but I need an assistant to help me on projects. This is a nonpaying organization. The responsibilities are:

1. To be available 2-4 hours in a week. It most likely will be 2 hours every other week.
2. To present WCAY's mission and explore opportunities for them to support us through monetary. You could say "Hi my name is ____and I'm with WCAY (we care about you) NPO that's been serving the community (N Broadway bridge mainly) for 20 years. It all started with a mother and daughter who wanted to help the unfortunate, and now its grown into something much bigger. We're looking for businesses that want to get involved by donation or sponsoring our work so we can keep making a difference. I'd love to chat with you about how your support can help us continue this mission. Be
3. Brainstorm ideas with me to do fundraising, we need to get income. Come share any ideas you may have.
4. Be enthusiastic, motivated and excited about what your involvement is.
5. Will need help sometimes with going around the area of Karns sometimes Powell to pick up bags of donated clothes and or shoes.
6. Defintely help the night before with prepping food, cutting up, depending on what we have.
7. About 3 weeks before event to help box items, shoes, hygiene, and sort clothes by sizes and put an outfit together. example: one shirt, one pants, pair socks, undergarments.
8. We will be going to difference residential areas to serve food and some clothing. Not nearly as much as the Bridge so I would hope to be able to count on you to be there. I don't need that many people but, that's why i need a volunteer i can count on that will help it keep us at least 4-5 helpers.
9. To definitely be at the events under the bridge, which for now is 3 times a year. I may need you to go pick up food from a restaurant that is donating, which while you're getting it, i will head down to the event under the bridge to keep everything on schedule.
10. Help set up and break down. We are usually there about 3 hours. If you have to leave early thats fine if you could wait until we feed to first round of the long line.
11. Try to be aware of people your around or having a conversation, like if you hear someone mention they are a beautician or a barber or a nurse practitioner, anything you think that would be a benefit to the unhoused. You can ask if they would like to give back and just tell them if they are interested they can call me.
12. Under the bridge is only for 18 and up, safety reasons. (You can invite people you know who would like to help on any event)
