Vice Chairman

Transcendent Parenting Project is seeking a leader who has creative problem-solving skills, having the ability to think outside-of-the-box, and find effective ways to get the word out about the organization’s cause. This person would have experience with developing and managing campaigns that potentially bring in donations from various sources as well as identifying and interacting with potential donors through connection strategies ranging from fundraising events to crowdsourcing campaigns to public relations. In workflow, this leader would serve as the organization’s spokesperson. This leader will assist with the board chair’s duties as needed.

• attending six regular board member meeting per year (two retreats per year with leadership)
• serving on one or more committees of the board and actively participate in committee work
• playing an active role in securing the financial resources necessary for Transcendent Parenting Project to achieve its mission
• reading board materials in advance of board meetings and arrive prepared to ask questions as well as participate in discussions
• learning to read and understand Transcendent Parenting Project’s financial statements if no prior experience reading financial statements. Another board member will gladly assist your learning
• helping the board to fulfill its fiduciary responsibilities
• directly investing in Transcendent Parenting Project’s work by making a personal, meaningful financial contribution each year
• leveraging personal relationships to help the development committee and staff identify and solicit potential funders
• responsibly represent Transcendent Parenting Project to their respective communities and to advocate for the mission, services, and its programs.
