Position: Volunteer Tutor
Location: Remote / Lancaster, CA (Flexible)
Time Commitment: 1 to 3 hours per week, 1-4 times per week

About Us:
Mildrie’s Road Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of illiteracy in underserved communities. Through our House of Literacy program, we provide tutoring, mentorship, and essential resources to help children and adults improve their reading and math skills, creating brighter futures for those in need.
Position Overview:
We are looking for dedicated volunteers who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. As a volunteer tutor, you will work one-on-one with students to help them improve their reading, writing, and/or math skills. No prior tutoring experience is necessary—we provide all the training you need!
Key Responsibilities:
Tutor students in reading, writing, or math based on their individual needs
Help track student progress and provide feedback to the program coordinators
Build meaningful relationships with students and encourage their growth
Collaborate with other volunteers and staff to ensure the success of the program
Requirements:
Must pass a background check
Commit 1 to 3 hours per week, 1-4 times per week, for at least 3 months
Passion for helping children and adults improve their literacy and numeracy skills
Strong reading skills if tutoring in reading or strong math skills if tutoring in math
No prior experience required; training will be provided
