About the Role

Fruitslice is seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Coordinator to help keep our many moving pieces on track and running smoothly. This volunteer position plays a crucial role in supporting our organization’s projects and initiatives, ensuring that timelines are met, collaboration is facilitated, and tasks are clearly defined and manageable.

As the Project Coordinator, you’ll be the hub of our project management efforts—checking in regularly with department leads, updating task trackers, and breaking projects into actionable steps. Your work will help Fruitslice achieve its mission of uplifting and amplifying Queer voices.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Tracking & Updates:
  • Regularly check in on the status of all active projects and tasks.
  • Update project trackers with the latest progress, timelines, and changes.
• Facilitating Collaboration:
  • Coordinate between departments to ensure smooth communication and workflow.
  • Help reevaluate and adjust timelines as needed.
• Task Management:
  • Break down large projects into actionable steps.
  • Ensure deadlines and responsibilities are clear and achievable.
• Supportive Guidance:
  • Provide assistance to department leads by offering organizational support.
  • Facilitate team collaboration by encouraging participation and keeping everyone aligned.
• Airtable System Development:
  • Assist in building and optimizing Fruitslice’s custom Airtable system to improve project management and organization.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: Previous experience with project coordination, task management, or team collaboration.
• Airtable Skills: Familiarity with Airtable is a big plus, as we’re building a custom system to fit our needs.
• Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple projects, update trackers, and support team members.
• Commitment to Mission: Passionate about supporting a Queer organization during a time when our voices and work are needed most.
• Flexibility: Comfortable working remotely and asynchronously, with occasional Zoom check-ins and Slack communication.
• Proactive Attitude: A self-starter who is excited about improving processes and keeping things running smoothly.

Time Commitment

• Flexible schedule, with a few hours per week required.
• Most work is asynchronous, with optional office hours and occasional Zoom check-ins.
• Minimum commitment of 6 months.
