    Description

    Hardware/Construction materials specialist

At Materials for the Arts, we collect "landfill bound" donated materials and house them for our members to shop all free. Our members include schools, theater groups, senior centers, social services, city agencies, and non-profits across NYC. These materials include everything from office supplies to household supplies, costumes, and sewing materials. When a business or individual no longer has a need for something or has a lot of materials that have gone unused, we step in to redistribute those materials to organizations that can use them. Our volunteers are responsible for sorting through materials and organizing our shelving space for shopping days.
