    Description

    Become a Girls on the Run Coach!

    Our coaches are the heart of our program! Each season, volunteer coaches inspire and guide a team through our tried-and-true curriculum. No previous coaching or running experience needed to volunteer, just a desire to consistently share your time and talents with your teams. Teams/locations are available throughout Northern Virginia. If you're ready to directly make an impact, then this role is for you!

    As a coach, you will:

    • Receive all the tools and support you need to lead interactive and easy-to-follow lessons with your co-coaches
    • Help girls grow their confidence, stand up for themselves and give back to their communities
    • Help to transform and strengthen the next generation of girls
    • Experience the positive impacts yourself!

    Season Details

    • Season starts the week of March 3, 2025.
    • You must submit your Coach Application to be assigned to a team. The link to the new coach application is https://www.pinwheel.us/volunteer/signup/CXXWG8753BBZ1C8
    • Coaches may choose to lead a Girls on the Run team (3rd to 5th grades) or a Heart & Sole team (6th to 8th grades)
    • Coach Training starts in mid-February 2025
    • 5K End of Season Weekend: May 17-18, 2025
