You may travel up to the communities to write about a workshop or photograph textiles while they are still on the loom; accompany a tourist group overnight; interview artisans for a social media partnership; or make sure to be in the office when artisans come in to learn a new product or deliver an order. Back at your desk, you will write and post about our work, and plan upcoming communications. There is lots of opportunity to adapt the role according to your interests, and help in other areas of Awamaki's work.
We look for a Storytelling Volunteer who is creative, hardworking and flexible, and willing to learn our anticolonialist approach to showing and talking about our work.

Room and board assistance, and complete fee waiver, available for volunteers who stay six months or longer.
