    Description

    Overview:

    The Peace Economy Project (PEP), a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering peace, economic justice, and reallocating resources from military to social spending, is seeking an organized and proactive Administrative Support Volunteer. This volunteer will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our organization, helping us to efficiently achieve our mission.

    Responsibilities:

    • Data Management: Assist in managing databases, including data entry, updating records, and ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of information.
    • Document Preparation: Help prepare, format, and edit various documents, including reports, presentations, and correspondence.
    • Meeting Coordination: Support the scheduling and organization of meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.
    • Email and Communication: Manage email correspondence, ensuring timely responses and appropriate forwarding of emails to other team members as necessary.
    • Event Support: Provide administrative support for events, including registration management, attendee communication, and logistical planning.
    • General Administrative Tasks: Perform other administrative duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, and assisting with mailings.

    Qualifications:

    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Previous administrative or clerical experience is a plus but not required.
    • A commitment to the mission and values of the Peace Economy Project.

    Time Commitment:

    This volunteer position requires a flexible commitment of approximately 5-10 hours per week. The role can be performed remotely, offering flexible hours to accommodate the volunteer's schedule.

    Location:

    Remote - volunteers can be based anywhere with reliable internet access.
