    Description

    Pharmacology online university course author

PEOI is seeking volunteers to work on a PEOI team, Project PH400EN, with dynamic educators, authors, professionals, and textbook publishers, developing a university level online pharmacology course (PH400EN) titled “Basic Pharmacology and Therapeutics.” This 15-week course (the first in a 3-course series), will provide a university level introduction to pharmacology, including the basic features of drugs, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, pharmacogenomics, and autonomic and cardiovascular pharmacology. When completed, the course will be available free of charge to motivated learners, globally, especially in under-resourced countries, to explore interests in pharmacology or serve as preparation for medical or pharmacy school.

Volunteers can choose to contribute in many ways: perform literature research, write chapter text, and create pharmacokinetic problem sets and clinical case studies for the course.

Volunteers will have their names listed on the course pages that they contribute to, and PEOI’s certificate will be issued upon completion of assigned tasks.

An advanced degree in pharmacy, pharmacology, or closely related field is required.
