    Description

    Volunteer IT Teacher

    We are looking for passionate individuals to come and join our exciting team in India!

    Being a volunteer at Kalkeri Sangeet Vidyalaya is an incredibly rewarding experience and a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and their families here in Kalkeri.

    As a Volunteer IT Teacher, your primary focus is to provide computing classes to our students, aged 11 to 16. From introduction to basic computer use to more specific computing projects, your mission is to break the digital gap and allow the young generation to find and use online resources properly, to research and study on a computer, and for the older students to develop IT skills they will need in their future professional career. You will also offer IT support as day-to-day troubleshooting is required on campus, if you can.

    Responsibilities:

    • Teach computing classes to students aged 11-16
    • Carry out IT training to KSV staff
    • Take part in KSV's activities and events
    • Set an example to the students and act as a role model
    • Be a responsible ambassador for our organization
    • Be passionate and enthusiastic!

    Requirements:

    • Minimum commitment of 1 year
    • Good theoretical and practical knowledge of Computer Sciences
    • Good software and hardware knowledge
    • English fluency
    • Patient and problem-solving
    • Patience, punctuality, work ethic, and maturity
    • Ability to work well with others
    • Strong interest in community projects, education and child development
