The Museum at Eldridge Street needs volunteer tour guides. This opportunity is ideal for individuals interested in museums, history, Judaism, art history, anthropology, social history, historic preservation, and architecture. There is a six week training period (meetings are once a week for two hours). At the end of the trainings volunteers should be able to give a mock tour to the rest of the volunteer class and feel comfortable to give tours to the public. Tours can be given as often as twice a week or as infrequent as once a month. We also have volunteer opportunities for individuals to answer visitor questions about the Museum without giving a formal tour. The Museum at Eldridge Street is an equal opportunity employer. As such, the Museum provides equal employment opportunity for all employees and applicants without unlawful discrimination with respect to age, citizenship status, color, creed, disability, ethnicity, gender identification, marital status, military status or veteran, national origin, political association, race, religion, sexual orientation or any other classification protected by federal, state and local laws. The Museum at Eldridge Street is a 501-c-3 tax-exempt organization.
