    Investment in education and strong leadership is the best way to ensure sustainable long term development for Africa. Consider volunteering with projects directed at empowering rural communities through education and sustainable development.

    We are looking for volunteers with leadership experience to facilitate leadership training in schools and villages through our Leadership Institute in rural Uganda.

    At Uganda Rural Fund, you will also have an opportunity to work with local community on projects such as:

    • teaching elementary, high school, vocational, or after school classes;
    • facilitate youth camps, counselling, leadership workshops, etc
    • work in vegetable gardens to assist child-headed families
    • teach basic business or leadership skills to local people
    • teach computer classes
    • work with women and students on crafts projects
    • facilitate community workshops
    • assist at the medical clinic
    • assist with office work
    • assist at construction projects

    There are many ways to get involved depending on your interests, skills, and experience. You live with a host family giving you exposure to the culture and way of rural living.
