    Description

    Caregiver Relief/Companionship Visits

Volunteering at Heart to Heart Hospice

Volunteers are such a special part of the hospice care team. They can provide a variety of supportive services to enhance the quality of life for our patients and their families. Whether you prefer to interact with patients and families, or prefer to assist with tasks in an office setting, every volunteer has something significant to contribute to our program and those we care for.

Our administrative volunteers can assist with answering calls, making copies, filing, mailings, data entry, putting together admission packets and training materials, or anything that helps to enrich our programs and assist our staff members.

Our direct volunteers can help our patients and families by:

    • Visiting patients regularly to provide companionship and lift patients spirits.
    • Sitting with patients to relieve families
    • Reading to patients
    • Pray with patients
    • Pet therapy/music therapy
