Are you seeking a chance to use your creative talents to promote rescue cat adoptions?

We are seeking an Adoptions Marketing Volunteer to create captivating reels & stories for our cat in our rescue program. In this position, you will play a critical role in our ability to feature stories on our social media and highlight our cats in our rescue program. 

VOLUNTEER ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Adoptions Marketing Volunteer will assemble clear and captivating reels & stories for cats in the adoptions pipeline. You'll manage a content calendar, guide video production for reels and stories for our social media, and craft engaging captions. Moreover, you'll coach fosters, communicate effectively with diverse team members, and share technical know-how, all while fostering a supportive environment for feedback and curiosity within our volunteer community. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Drive content that helps shine a light on our adoptable cats
• Populate content calendar with potential stories
• Reels: Identify video clips and provide direction to the Editor regarding order and duration, as needed
• Stories: Assemble photos and videos to create a story in Adobe Express (we are not able to work directly in the account's social app)
• Write captions to accompany the video(s) or photo(s) based on reporting and per the calendar created by the Content Manager
• Review photos and videos submitted by fosters and create stories or reels - depending on available media
• Coach fosters to create compelling media of FBC rescue cats and kittens
• Effectively communicate and work productively with a wide range of people and skill-sets.
• Provide technical guidance and tips for mobile phone filmmaking and photography specific to capturing cats in a variety of settings and phases of development.
• Foster a safe and supportive environment for feedback and nurture a culture of curiosity through one-on-one communication with volunteers as well as posting and sharing with the greater volunteer community.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

Do you have… 

• Strong knowledge and expertise in mobile phone filmmaking and photography techniques?
• An ability to develop and produce stories via video?
• Experience managing projects or workflows?
• Experience with media management and video editing?
• Strong communication skills?
