Have you ever thought of being a resident advocate? This is your opportunity to be a resident's voice and help members of our aging community navigate the challenges of long-term care.
Our 2025 FREE certification classes are now open for enrollment!
Training classes will be broken up into two parts: Part I will be held Thursday, April 3rd, 2025 from 9am-4pm, with the corresponding Part II held Thursday, May 8th, also from 9am-4pm. Both classes will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams.
As this is a live virtual training, camera and microphone capabilities are required for participation.
As a certified ombudsman, you will serve some of the most vulnerable individuals within our communities. We provide vital information and assistance to residents and families, as well as help navigate the rules regarding resident rights, including the right to quality care, dignity, and respect. We hope you will join us in continuing these impactful advocacy efforts.
Please email ombudsman@uth.tmc.edu for an application or call 713-500-9931 with any questions you may have.
We look forward to having you join us!
