Position Overview
The Podcast & Audio Production Fellow will assist in the production, editing, and distribution of PEP’s podcast and other audio-based advocacy materials. This fellow will play a key role in shaping the sound, narrative, and impact of Voices for Peace, helping to expand its reach and effectiveness in mobilizing audiences.
This opportunity is ideal for students or recent graduates with experience or interest in audio storytelling, journalism, sound design, and digital media production.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Assist in recording and editing podcast episodes to ensure high-quality sound production.
✅ Edit interviews and discussions using software like Audacity, Adobe Audition, or Hindenburg.
✅ Mix and master audio content, ensuring clarity, consistency, and audience engagement.
✅ Develop episode scripts and show notes in collaboration with PEP’s research and advocacy team.
✅ Research potential guests and interview subjects for podcast episodes.
✅ Coordinate episode scheduling, interviews, and recording logistics.
✅ Design promotional audio clips and soundbites for social media and digital outreach.
✅ Assist in publishing and distributing the podcast on platforms like Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube.
✅ Explore new storytelling techniques to enhance the podcast’s engagement and impact.
Preferred Qualifications:
✔ Background in journalism, audio production, communications, media studies, or a related field.
✔ Experience with audio recording, editing, and production software (Audacity, Adobe Audition, GarageBand, etc.).
✔ Strong storytelling skills and ability to develop compelling podcast narratives.
✔ Passion for peace advocacy, social justice, and media activism.
✔ Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a creative production environment.
✔ Experience with podcast hosting, voice work, or sound design is a plus.
