    Description

    Youth Tennis Tournament - Champion Volunteer

    The Matt Stevenson Tournament takes place this year at the award-winning Cary Leeds Center for Tennis & Learning, in the Bronx's beautiful Crotona Park. Held over three weekends and USTA-sanctioned, it attracts some of the finest young tennis players in the metropolitan New York region. Volunteers will receive t-shirts and swag. Specific open roles are provided here:

    1. June 26 (3 pm to 6 pm): Kickoff Event and Tournament preparation:  2 volunteers to help stuff goodie bags, and otherwise get ready for the Kickoff Event and Tournament.
    2. June 27 (3 pm to 6 pm): Kickoff Event and Tournament preparation:  2 volunteers to help stuff goodie bags, and otherwise get ready for the Kickoff Event and Tournament.
    3. June 28: Tennis clinic (3:00 – 5:30 pm):  9 volunteers total (8 volunteers to help pick up balls on 8 courts, plus 1 extra person in case we use the 9th court or to help generally). Dinner reception and Program (4:30 – 7:30 pm):  2-3 volunteers to help our Tournament Manager set things up for the program, check people in, distribute tickets for the door prize drawings, etc. Dinner provided.
    4. June 29-30 shifts from 7-11am, 11am-3pm, and 3-7pm: Help the Tournament Manager as needed, such as setting things up in the morning, checking people in, handing out goodie bags, and otherwise keeping the Tournament desk area organized throughout the day, squeegeeing the courts in the event of rain, etc.
    5. July 6-7 shifts from 7-11am, 11am-3pm, and 3-7pm: Help the Tournament Manager as needed, such as setting things up in the morning, checking people in, handing out goodie bags, and otherwise keeping the Tournament desk area organized throughout the day, squeegeeing the courts in the event of rain, etc. 
    6. July 13 shifts from 8am-12pm, 12-4pm, and 4-8pm: Help the Tournament Manager as needed, such as setting things up in the morning, checking people in, handing out goodie bags, and otherwise keeping the Tournament desk area organized throughout the day, squeegeeing the courts in the event of rain, etc.
    7. July 14 shifts from 8am-12pm, 12-4pm, and 4-8pm: Help the Tournament Manager as needed, such as setting things up in the morning, checking people in, handing out goodie bags, and otherwise keeping the Tournament desk area organized throughout the day, squeegeeing the courts in the event of rain, etc.
