    STEM Canada is a registered not-for-profit global program that specializes in an advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The STEM program is open to all students from preschool to high school with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application, designed to teach students in the STEM fields, yielding globally competitive results.

    Location: Remote

    Time commitment: 6 hours a week

    Description: We are seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to serve as a remote volunteer in the role of Marketing and Outreach Coordinator for our team. In this position, your responsibilities include creating and executing marketing plans to support our organization and its projects, as well as overseeing communication activities to connect with stakeholders and enhance our presence. Collaborate with team members from a distance to improve our marketing impact and outreach effectiveness.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Create and implement marketing plans and campaigns to publicize the organization’s programs and initiatives through different channels.

    • Produce interesting content for social media, newsletters, websites, and other marketing materials.

    • Organize and oversee outreach activities in order to establish and sustain connections with partners, donors, and community groups.

    • Track and evaluate the success of marketing and outreach efforts, offering suggestions for enhancement.

    • Help with planning and advertising online events, webinars, and other activities to interact with our audience.

    • Work together with team members to guarantee uniform messaging and branding in all marketing and outreach initiatives.

    • Stay updated on the latest marketing trends and best practices to continually improve our strategies.

    • Join online meetings to share updates on marketing and outreach efforts and receive input.

    • Create and oversee a schedule of marketing and outreach events to guarantee prompt completion and monitoring.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience as a Marketing and outreach coordinator or similar role, with a strong portfolio of successful marketing campaigns.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment.

    • Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.

    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

    • Passion for STEM education and commitment to promoting STEM literacy and application.

    • Cultural sensitivity and ability to engage with a diverse global audience.
