    Description

    Gaithersburg HELP is a dedicated, all-volunteer organization that provides essential support to local communities. We are seeking a volunteer to assist clients with food and infant needs. Responsibilities include:

    • Retrieving and returning voicemails.
    • Booking pantry appointments or deliveries based on client needs.
    • Registering new households in the Food Bank Manager database.
    • Informing clients about Gaithersburg HELP services and referring them to other teams (Rx, Transportation, etc.) as needed.
    • Refer callers to other resources available in the county, as needed. Keep informed of those resources as displayed on the Gaithersburg HELP webpage.
    • Working scheduled shifts and coordinating with the lead volunteer.

    This role is remote and requires a computer with internet access. Volunteers should be comfortable with emails, online forms, and basic online research. Commitment is 1–5 hours per week. We will provide all the necessary training (max 4 hours).
