    Description

    The Sinai Assisted Housing Foundation – “Sinai House” – is a non-profit organization whose mission is to enable families to move from homelessness to independence by providing safe, affordable housing, comprehensive social services, and financial support. Sinai House offers two-bedrooms, two-bathroom, partially furnished apartments to families who are experiencing homeless. Our facilities accommodate four families at a time. Residents can live at Sinai House for two years while working to achieve stability and independence.

    We assist families in achieving their goals by offering our adult residents structured case management, financial literacy, educational and career counseling, individual and group therapy, and peer-to-peer support. Equally important, we provide our resident children with academic support, mentoring, and, when indicated, psychological counseling.

    We are looking for reading and math tutors for children in the 1st - 6th grade, the tutor must possess the following:

    3 to 5 years' experience educating in the subject matter, this can be as a tutor, schoolteacher or you majored in the subject matter.

    5 years' experience working with children specifically children who are experiencing homelessness

    Familiarity working with children who may have IEP's or other specialized needs
