VIBE (Venice Institute of Boundless Expression) is a 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to providing free, immersive, and culturally diverse artistic experiences for Los Angeles youth. Our mission is to break down barriers to the arts, fostering creativity, education, and self-expression. We are seeking a passionate and strategic Volunteer Development Director to help expand our fundraising efforts and ensure the sustainability of our programs.

Role Overview

The Volunteer Development Director will lead and implement fundraising, donor relations, and grant-seeking efforts. This key leadership role will focus on securing funding through grants, sponsorships, and individual giving to support VIBE’s free programming for underserved youth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute fundraising strategies, including donor outreach, sponsorships, and grant applications.
• Research and pursue grants, sponsorships, and funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and individual donors.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and sponsors.
• Assist in planning fundraising campaigns, donor events, and annual giving programs.
• Work closely with the Founder & Board to create a sustainable development plan for long-term growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in fundraising, grant writing, development, or nonprofit management (volunteer or professional).
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Passion for the arts, youth programs, and community engagement.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
• Knowledge of grant applications, donor databases, or corporate sponsorships is a plus.
