    STEM Canada is a registered not-for-profit global program that specializes in an advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The STEM program is open to all students from preschool to high school with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application, designed to teach students in the STEM fields, yielding globally competitive results.

    Location: Remote

    Time commitment: 6 hours a week

    Description:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Administrative Coordinator Volunteer to join our team. By volunteering, you will enhance your administrative skills while making a meaningful impact on our organization. This position requires working with remote team members to manage administrative tasks and support the smooth operation of our programs.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with team members to manage and execute daily administrative tasks that support project and organizational goals.

    • Maintain organized records and databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.

    • Assist in scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking detailed minutes to ensure effective communication and documentation.

    • Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed.

    • Coordinate and manage virtual events, workshops, and meetings, including sending invitations, tracking RSVPs, and providing technical support.

    • Perform data entry and maintain spreadsheets to track project progress and outcomes.

    • Assist with the development and implementation of administrative processes and procedures to improve efficiency.

    • Provide support to team members by addressing administrative inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

    • Keep abreast of the latest administrative tools and best practices to enhance your skills continuously.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience in administrative support, with strong organizational and multitasking skills.

    • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for thriving in a virtual team setting.

    • Proficiency in using office software, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and virtual meeting platforms.

    • Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own schedule and responsibilities autonomously.

    • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry trends and best practices in administrative support.
