    Development Director -volunteer working board member

    Girls Education International is looking for a committed board member to serve as our Development Director. The Development Director leads fundraising efforts, cultivates donor relationships, and drives strategic growth. This role is responsible for overseeing fundraising campaigns, major gifts, and grant writing to sustain and expand our mission. The ideal candidate is a passionate, results-driven leader with experience in nonprofit development.

    To be successful as a Development Director for Girls Education International, you should have strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members. An outstanding Development Director will have expertise in fundraising strategic planning and implementation and experience with sponsorship solicitation and strategic project management.

    Skills & Qualifications

    • B.A. (required), M.A. (a plus)
    • 4+ years experience in donor-based fundraising
    • Knowledge of fundraising best practices
    • Demonstrated experience with Google Drive, donor database systems, and social media
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to collaborate with team members and drive results
    • Time management and organization
    • Creative, self-starter attitude
    • Superb interpersonal skills
    • Inspiring team leader
