    Description

Project Transitions is looking for consistent volunteers to help us pick up food from Austin's Central Texas Food Bank on Friday mornings. We provide tons of food to our residents weekly, so it's best to have a truck or large SUV for loading and transporting the goods.

From there, we need help unloading the donations at our supportive housing complex in North Central Austin. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., residents come to our pantry to "shop" for their food.

This is an ongoing project, so someone who can commit to regular volunteerism is preferred. This is the perfect opportunity for a college student or retiree who has their Friday mornings open!

    Hours: From 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

    Length: About 2 hours

    Date: Every Friday

Starting Location: Central Texas Food Bank (6500 Metropolis Dr.)

Ending Location: Confidential address (located in Brentwood neighborhood)

    Requirements

    • Willingness to commit to an ongoing project
    • Active driver license
    • Large truck or SUV (preferred)
    • Ability to lift large boxes of canned goods
    • Comfortable clothing
    • A positive attitude

Please reach out Caitlan at to cosborn@projecttransitions.org if you'd like to help us with this project!
