    Description

    STEM Canada is a registered not-for-profit global program that specializes in an advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The STEM program is open to all students from preschool to high school with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application, designed to teach students in the STEM fields, yielding globally competitive results.

    Location: Remote

    Time commitment: 6 hours/week

    Description: We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Quality Assurance Analyst Volunteer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and effectiveness of STEM Canada’s educational programs, processes, and resources. This position requires a strong understanding of quality assurance practices, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality in our operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design, implement, and update quality assurance procedures and standards that align with STEM Canada’s mission and goals. Ensure that all processes and resources meet the highest quality standards.

    • Regularly review and evaluate the quality of educational programs, materials, and processes. Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of our offerings.

    • Conduct thorough testing and assessments of educational resources, technology tools, and program materials to ensure they meet quality and performance criteria. Document test results and provide feedback for improvements.

    • Track and analyze key quality metrics to assess the performance of programs and processes. Prepare detailed reports on quality findings, trends, and recommendations for continuous improvement.

    • Work closely with program coordinators, educators, and other departments to ensure that quality assurance practices are integrated into all aspects of our programs and operations. Provide support and guidance on quality-related issues.

    • Investigate and resolve quality issues and discrepancies. Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to address any identified problems.

    • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of quality assurance activities, including procedures, test results, and improvement plans. Ensure that all documentation is accessible and organized.

    • Keep ahead of industry best practices and emerging trends in quality assurance and educational technology. Recommend and implement new strategies and tools to enhance quality management.

    Requirements:

    • Demonstrated experience in quality assurance, quality control, or a related field, with a strong understanding of quality management principles and practices.

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and evaluate complex processes, identify issues, and recommend solutions.

    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing and managing quality assurance activities and documentation.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

    • Passion for STEM education and a commitment to supporting STEM Canada’s mission through effective quality assurance practices.

    • Familiarity with quality assurance tools and software. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.

    • Ability to engage with a diverse global audience and work within a multicultural environment.
