    Description

We are a newly founded nonprofit organization with a mission to bring awareness and resources to the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) in the autism community. There remains a significant disparity in resources and support for these communities, and we are committed to bridging this gap while fostering long-lasting bonds. Through our annual events and outreach, we aim to uplift and empower families and individuals in need.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Volunteer Consultant to help guide our organization in areas of strategic planning, program development, and fundraising. As a consultant, you will play a crucial role in shaping our future initiatives, helping us increase our impact in the BIPOC autism community.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide strategic advice on organizational development, program expansion, and sustainability.
    • Assist in developing fundraising strategies, including identifying grant opportunities.
    • Offer guidance on community outreach and engagement efforts.
    • Support the planning and execution of our annual events and programs.
    • Help build partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders.

    Experience/Qualifications:

    • Experience in nonprofit management, consulting, or a related field.
    • Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and/or experience working with the BIPOC community is a plus.
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with our team.

    Time Commitment:

    • We estimate about 5-10 hours per month, with flexible scheduling.
    • This role can be performed remotely, though local knowledge of the community is beneficial.

    Benefits:

    • Be part of a mission-driven organization making a difference in the lives of BIPOC families.
    • Gain valuable nonprofit consulting experience.
    • Opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of a newly founded organization.
