    Summary:

    R.O.Y.O is looking for a fun and creative Executive Vice President of Innovative Strategy & Ideas volunteer leader who will be responsible for formalizing the organization strategic-planning processes, and leading the development of the strategy, translating it for people across functions and business units, and drive organizational change forging new working relationships and synergies across the organization, and establishing greater transparency and accountability for those people carrying out the organization’s strategy. In addition, the EVP of Innovative strategy & Ideas is responsible for assessing whether strategic initiatives, at all levels of the organization, are in line with the standards and objectives.

    The EVP of Innovative strategy & ideas develops and shepherds the processes to determine the need and plans to position, grow and compete with other organizations in the nonprofit sector. Develops a clear understanding of organizational dynamics and levers while focusing on external demands, opportunities and relationships positioning for growth. The EVP of Innovative Strategy and Ideas focuses on creating and implementing an organization's goals while primarily focusing on developing new, fresh ideas. This position uses strong analytical abilities to determine Partners’ current and future needs, industry trends, and how the organization can differentiate itself. And then oversees the innovation initiatives that are driven by this analysis.

    Supervisor:

    This individual reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer.

    Direct reports: Sr. Development training Coord. & Sr. PR and Marketing Manager.

    Some Responsibilities Are:

    • Must be located in the United States of America, preferably in the Chicagoland area.
    • Assisting the COO and the Organization in achieving the organization overall mission, values, and strategic goals.
    • Serve as a key member of the Executive Team, helping to drive the culture and vision for Partners
    • Lead the development of the strategic plan/framework for the organization, and the detailed current year operating plan, while adhering to direction set by the CED and Board of Directors. This includes formalizing and leading the strategic planning process, focusing on long-term trends, outlook and competitive intelligence.
    • Facilitate the execution of the strategy by working collaboratively with the other Executive Team members and ensuring that all throughout the organization understand the strategy.
    • Work closely with other executives to define and develop goals and objectives.
    • Collaborate with other members of the executive management team to align departmental strategy or direction with the overall goals of the organization.

    Qualifications:

    • Must be in agreement with and committed to upholding R.O.Y Organization’s Motto Statement, and Statement of Values, as well as its stated Mission and Vision.
    • Must have strong, effective written and spoken communication skills along with excellent research and organizational skills
    • Must have evidence of and a commitment to practice a high level of confidentiality
    • Use a high degree of tact, discretion and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive situations and concerned groups and/or individuals
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • 10+ Years of relevant work experience
    • Willing to learn
