    About Us

    The Living Stones Foundation is a mission-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering communities through impactful projects worldwide. As an early-stage nonprofit/tech startup preparing for a proof-of-concept launch, we are seeking passionate volunteers to join us as Social Projects Developer Assistants. This role will support the design and implementation of sustainable social initiatives that address the needs of underserved communities, contributing to positive and lasting change.

    At the end of your volunteer work, you will receive a certificate and a letter of recommendation. OPT volunteers are accepted. The project is related to software and application development.

    Important Details

    • This is an unpaid position, but it offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable professional experience.
    • Volunteers must commit to a weekly 30 minute meeting.

    Key Responsibilities

    Support in Project Design and Development:

    • Assist in identifying community needs and help develop project plans to address them.
    • Contribute to the creation of actionable project roadmaps, budgets, and timelines to ensure efficient execution.

    Implementation and Coordination Assistance:

    • Support the rollout of social initiatives, including infrastructure projects, educational programs, or health campaigns.
    • Help coordinate with local organizations, community leaders, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and maximize impact.
    • Coordinate and manage work meetings and team meetings.

    Monitoring and Evaluation Support:

    • Assist in developing metrics to assess project success and sustainability.
    • Help provide progress reports and suggest improvements based on data-driven insights.
    • Use and manage tools like Asana, Trello, and ClickUp.

    Fundraising Assistance:

    • Support the fundraising team in resource mobilization for project implementation.
    • Assist in preparing grant proposals or donor presentations for specific social initiatives.

    Required Experience

    • 1+ years of experience in project management, community development, or a related role.
    • Passion for social work and helping communities.
    • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
    • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Project Management, or a related field (preferred).
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
    • Experience in software and application development projects
    • Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish (It is not necessary but is a plus).

    Preferred Experience

    • Experience in nonprofit or community-based organizations.
    • Familiarity with sustainable development practices or humanitarian work.
    • Prior experience in fundraising or grant writing is a strong advantage.
