    Grant Writing Volunteer

    Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Grant Writer Volunteer. The GWV will be responsible for researching grants that best fit the organization operational and project-wise, reporting awarded grants to the management team, and completing projects that contribute to the overall success of grants management activities. Duties include but are not limited to collecting and compiling the organization's data necessary for applying for grants, researching funding opportunities, writing grant proposals, and general administrative tasks.

    Who We Are: The Raleigh Film and Art Festival is an organization in Raleigh, NC dedicated to the discovery and development of independent artists and audiences. Through its programs, we discover, support, and inspire independent film, theater, poetry, and visual artists from the United States and around the world, and introduce audiences to their new work.

    Qualifications:

    • Have or are in the process of obtaining a bachelor's degree in: Arts Administration, English, Creative Writing, Nonprofit Management, Communications/ or a Grant Writing certification.
    • Strong skills in writing, communication, editing, being analytical, being a self-starter, and being organized.
    • High level of computer and research proficiency.
    • Have a proficient understanding of Google Suites and Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to work well with a team and independently with limited supervision.
    • Flexible when necessary.
    • Keen ability to meet deadlines.
    • An interest in the arts is a plus.

    Requirements (Preferred):

    • Local to North Carolina.

    Duration: 10-week volunteer position (with a possibility for an extension).

    Time commitment: 10-20 hours per week

    Job Type: Remote
