    Description

    The Peace Economy Project is seeking creative and detail-oriented Media and Photography Team Volunteers to document and promote the Valentine’s Day Vigil Against Gun Violence. Volunteers in this role will capture powerful images, record impactful moments, and help share the event’s message through social media and other platforms.

    • Photography and Videography:
    • Capture high-quality photos and videos of key moments, including speeches, performances, and candlelight ceremonies.
    • Document candid and posed shots of attendees, volunteers, and featured speakers.
    • Record video clips for potential live-streaming or post-event highlights.
    • Social Media and Live Updates:
    • Post live updates, photos, and stories on PEP’s social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, BlueSky).
    • Share quotes, attendee reactions, and behind-the-scenes footage.
    • Media Coordination:
    • Assist press representatives and journalists covering the event.
    • Provide media kits and direct press to designated areas.
    • Post-Event Tasks:
    • Organize and edit photos and videos for post-event publications and reports.
    • Share materials with PEP’s team for newsletters, blog posts, and donor outreach.
    • Assist with writing captions or short summaries to accompany visual content.

    Requirements:

    • Experience with photography, videography, or social media management.
    • Access to personal equipment (camera, smartphone, tripod, etc.) preferred but not required.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs.
    • Strong eye for detail and visual storytelling.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
    • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Proficiency in photo and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Canva).
    • Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X).
    • Experience in event photography, media production, or digital marketing.
    • Multilingual skills are a plus but not required.
