    Description

    Toxic Free NC is seeking a volunteer Treasurer for our board of directors, a time commitment of two to five hours per month. The treasurer would step into governance of an organization in a stable financial position with well established systems compliant with generally accepted accounting principles, and we hope they can advise us on ways we can continue to improve.

    This is a great opportunity for someone with financial or accounting knowledge hoping to gain nonprofit board experience, who is committed to equity and eager to learn more about our work advancing just and sustainable agriculture and advocating for safe alternatives to harmful pesticides and chemicals. 

    Helpful to have:

    • Knowledge of accounting principles and budgeting, ideally in a nonprofit setting
    • Commitment to racial equity
    • Interest in pesticide reform, environmental justice, organic agriculture, and/or health
