    About the Role

    Fruitslice is seeking a passionate and visionary Events Director to lead and oversee all aspects of our community-centered events. As the strategic leader of our events team, you’ll ensure that every gathering aligns with our mission of uplifting and celebrating marginalized voices, fostering connection, and creating inclusive spaces for the Queer community.

    This role requires 20–40 hours per quarter and is ideal for someone based in Los Angeles who thrives on organizing meaningful events, managing diverse teams, and building vibrant, community-driven experiences.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Event Strategy & Leadership:
      • Develop and implement the overall vision for Fruitslice events, ensuring alignment with our values and ethos.
      • Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of events, from concept to completion.
    • Team Management:
      • Coordinate and guide the events team, delegating responsibilities and fostering collaboration.
      • Serve as the primary decision-maker for major event aspects, including, logistics, and programming.
    • Budget Oversight:
      • Create and manage event budgets, ensuring financial sustainability while maximizing impact.
      • Collaborate with leadership to align events with funding goals and community priorities.
    • Community Engagement:
      • Build relationships with local organizations, vendors, and creatives to strengthen Fruitslice’s presence in Los Angeles.
      • Prioritize inclusivity and accessibility, ensuring events are welcoming to all members of the Queer community.

    What We’re Looking For

    • Location: Must be based in Los Angeles.
    • Experience: Experience in event planning, production, or community organizing.
    • Leadership Skills: Ability to manage teams, make high-level decisions, and keep projects on track.
    • Passion for Community: Deep alignment with Fruitslice’s mission and values, with a strong commitment to uplifting marginalized voices.
    • Organizational Skills: Adept at balancing budgets, timelines, and multiple responsibilities.

    Time Commitment

    • 20–40 hours per quarter, with hours varying depending on the event cycle.
