Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Join us as an IGNITE Program Volunteer and help shape the future of middle school students through our after-school enrichment program!
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the delivery of daily lessons and activities.
- Provide academic support and homework assistance to students.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with youth to foster their success and well-being.
- Supervise students during program hours to ensure a safe and engaging environment.
- Help students develop positive relationships with peers, adults, and their families.
- Support You Matter 2 (YM2) staff in the implementation and smooth operation of the program.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Commit to volunteering 1.5 hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for one academic semester.
- Complete a background check.
- Complete volunteer training and Mandated Reporter training.
- Have a strong passion for the mission of You Matter 2.
- Possess an open, nonjudgmental attitude and a commitment to supporting youth.
