Creative Emajinations has been dedicated to providing arts education, mentorship to underserved children and young adults in the Kansas City since 2019, while providing access to supportive services and resources enabling families to reach their fullest potential. Our programs focus is multidispliscinary while fostering mentorship, education, and community service. We strive to empower youth through creativity and inspire healthy, active lifestyles.

Role Description

This is a volunteer opportunity to serve as a Member of the Board of Directors, supporting the arts and making a meaningful impact through Creative Emajinations.

As a board member, you will have the opportunity to be a visible leader and a powerful voice in the community, championing access to the arts and inspiring others to get involved. This role allows you to help shape initiatives that create opportunities for young people and families to engage in creative expression.

Day-to-day tasks may include:

• Supporting the organization’s mission and activities
• Participating in monthly board meetings (typically held 4x per year)
• Offering guidance and insights on strategic decisions
• Expanding outreach and engagement with the community
• Bringing all skills to contribute to our growth and impact

Meetings

Board meetings are typically held 4x per year to ensure balance, members are encouraged not to attend more than two consecutive meetings annually. Meetings are collaborative and engaging, allowing members to contribute meaningfully.

The position is hybrid, based in Kansas City, MO, with flexibility for remote participation. We are currently recruiting board members to serve a 1-2 year term beginning in January 2025.
