    In-person: Flatbush Vet 

    Flatbush Cats is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to end the cat overpopulation crisis in Brooklyn.

    Are you looking for a volunteer opportunity that provides you hands-on experience in a veterinary clinic supporting a mission driven team? 

    We are seeking a support volunteer for our surgery team at Flatbush Veterinary Clinic.

    In this position, you will play a critical role in helping us with laundry and other general tasks throughout the shift needed to support the daily operations of our veterinary clinic. This role requires approximately 3-4 hours per shift, usually from 1-4pm on Monday - Thursday. You can work one or several shifts per week.

    This is a perfect opportunity for aspiring vet / tech students or those who are simply passionate about helping people and their pets.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

    • Instrument Washing: Wash and clean all used surgical instruments, per instructions of vet team. Wipe down and sanitize the surgery area as needed.
    • Laundry: Wash, dry, fold, and organize all clinic laundry per shift (2 loads), ensuring a clean and organized environment.
    • Clinic Support: Support the clinic by assisting with any as needed various general tasks, as directed by the Clinic Manager or surgery team.
