    Description

Breaking Taboo is looking for new Article Writers for a chance to be published on our established mental health website!

Are you looking for the chance to make a difference, particularly in the field of mental health and suicide prevention? If so, this volunteer position might be the right fit for you!

You would be writing research-based articles on an approved topic of your choice within the mental health sphere. In the past, we have had members write everything from coping mechanisms to integrating mental health education into the school curriculum.

This is a non-paid volunteer remote position. You must be able to commit a minimum of 3 months.

You can find more examples of our articles here: https://breaking-taboo.org/category/articles/.

Or on our main website under "articles" www.breaking-taboo.org

If this sounds like something you are passionate about,

Please submit your resume, cover letter, and 3-5 writing samples. Preferred writing samples include some form of research based essay and a personal piece if you have one. Send all materials to Crystal at crystal@breaking-taboo.org.

    Thank you and happy writing!

(We are looking for writing samples that display your skill as a writer. They don't have to be mental health-related. We are looking for substance as much as syntax, flow, and grammatical aptitude, especially for the research-based articles. For personal stories, we are a bit more lenient. We encourage anyone with lived experience or knows someone with mental health conditions to apply.)
