The Event Committee Member will play a crucial role in planning, organizing, and executing events that align with our mission and goals. This volunteer position offers an opportunity to contribute to meaningful causes, engage with the community, and develop skills in event planning and coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Event Committee Chair and other members to brainstorm, plan, and execute events.
- Assist in identifying and securing venues, vendors, and sponsorships.
- Help develop event timelines, budgets, and promotional strategies.
- Coordinate with volunteers, speakers, performers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless event execution.
- Contribute to the design and distribution of promotional materials, including social media content, flyers, and invitations.
- Support event logistics, including set-up, registration, and clean-up.
- Participate in post-event evaluations to assess success and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Creativity and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in event planning or a related field is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to commit to 2-4 hours per week
