Opportunity Overview:

We are looking for a passionate Development and Fundraising Expert to join our team as a volunteer. This role is essential in helping us secure our first round of funding and resources to further our mission. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, grant writing, and donor engagement, with a strong understanding of nonprofit development strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet organizational goals.
• Research potential funding sources, including grants, foundations, and individual donors.
• Write compelling grant proposals and funding applications.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors.
• Assist in creating fundraising materials and campaigns.
• Guide best practices in development and fundraising.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in fundraising, grant writing, and nonprofit development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of the Cuban nonprofit landscape is a plus but not required.
• Commitment to the mission of 100% Cuba.
