FullStack Developer

IT-Sprout is a dedicated non-profit organization focused on empowering individuals, particularly veterans, to become IT specialists. Our mission is to provide comprehensive training, resources, and support to help people transition into rewarding careers in the tech industry.

We are seeking passionate and skilled Fullstack Developers to join our volunteer team. As a Fullstack Developer at IT-Sprout, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining web applications that support our training programs and organizational needs. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact while honing your skills and gaining valuable experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and Maintain Web Applications: Work on a variety of web development projects, from creating new features to fixing bugs and improving performance.
• Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with other developers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure our applications meet user needs and organizational goals.
• Support Training Programs: Help design and implement tools and platforms that enhance our training programs.
• Mentor and Guide: Provide mentorship to less experienced developers and program participants, sharing your knowledge and expertise.
• Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our projects are using the best practices and tools available.

Requirements

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end (Node.js, Python, Ruby, etc.) development. Experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and version control systems (Git).
• Experience: Previous experience in fullstack development, either professionally or through significant personal projects.
• Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
• Passion for the Mission: A genuine interest in helping people, especially veterans, transition into IT careers.
