    Volunteer Position: Classroom Teachers in Local

    Schools

    Purpose of this Project:

    The purpose of the Classroom Teachers project is to

    provide support and assistance to local schools by volunteering as teachers. As

    a volunteer in this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful

    impact on the lives of students, helping them learn and grow academically.

    Subjects to be taught:

    As a classroom teacher volunteer, you may be assigned to teach various subjects depending on the needs of the school and the grade level you are working with. The subjects can include but are not limited to:

    1. Mathematics
    2. English Language Arts
    3. Science
    4. Social Studies
    5. Art
    6. Physical Education
    7. Music
    8. Literature
    9. French & German
    10. ICT
    11. Technical Drawing
    12. Vocational Skills

    Role Description:

    As a volunteer classroom teacher, your role will be to facilitate learning and create a positive and engaging environment for students. You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons,

    assessing student progress, and providing support and guidance to students as needed. Your goal will be to inspire a love for learning and help students reach their full potential.

    Work Activities:

    1. Planning and preparing lessons based on the curriculum and grade level.
    2. Delivering lessons and engaging students in interactive learning activities.
    3. Assessing student performance and providing feedback.
    4. Collaborating with other teachers and school staff.
    5. Creating a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
    6. Monitoring student behavior and maintaining discipline.
    7. Communicating with parents or guardians regarding student progress.
    8. Participating in professional development activities and staff meetings.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

    1. Strong knowledge of the subject(s) you will be teaching.

    1. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    2. Patience and the ability to work with diverse groups of students.
    3. Organizational and time management skills.
    4. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of students and the school.
    5. A positive and enthusiastic attitude toward teaching and learning.
    6. Previous teaching experience or a background in education is preferred but not required.

    Orientation & Training:

    Before starting your volunteer work as a classroom teacher, you will receive an orientation session where you will be introduced to the school's policies, procedures, and expectations. You may also receive training on specific teaching methods or classroom management techniques. The

    orientation and training aim to provide you with the necessary knowledge and tools to excel in your role as a volunteer teacher.

    Project Start Date:

    The project's start date will be communicated to you

    by the organization coordinating the volunteer program. Typically, projects

    like this align with the academic calendar, so they often start at the beginning of a school year or semester.

    Materials to Bring With:

    The specific materials you need to bring with you will depend on the school and the resources available. However, it is generally helpful to bring the following:

    1. Writing materials (pens, pencils, markers)
    2. Notebook or lesson planner
    3. Teaching aids or visual aids (if available)
    4. Any specific teaching materials or resources you have prepared or wish to use
    5. Your enthusiasm, patience, and a positive attitude
