    Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid/Remote with On-Site Events)

    Commitment: Part-Time (10-15 Hours per Week)

    VIBE (Venice Institute of Boundless Expression) is a 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to providing free, immersive, and culturally diverse artistic experiences for Los Angeles youth. Our mission is to break down barriers to the arts, foster creative expression, and build an inclusive community where young people can explore, learn, and grow through artistic experiences.

    We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Assistant to the Executive Director to support the leadership team in managing day-to-day operations, coordinating programs, and ensuring the smooth execution of VIBE’s mission.

    Role Overview

    The Assistant to the Executive Director will provide administrative, operational, and strategic support to the Founder & Executive Director, ensuring the organization runs efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about the arts, nonprofit work, and youth engagement.

    Responsibilities

    • Administrative Support: Manage calendars, emails, and correspondence for the Executive Director.
    • Event & Program Coordination: Assist with scheduling, logistics, and planning for workshops, events, and exhibitions.
    • Communication & Outreach: Support external relations by drafting emails, newsletters, and social media content.
    • Grant & Fundraising Support: Help with grant research, tracking deadlines, and preparing donor materials.
    • Board & Partner Coordination: Assist in organizing board meetings, taking notes, and following up on action items.
    • File & Data Management: Maintain records, contacts, and program documentation.
    • General Support: Assist with various tasks as needed to keep VIBE running smoothly.

    Qualifications

    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Experience with administrative tasks, event coordination, or nonprofit work is a plus.
    • Passion for the arts, youth programming, and community engagement.
    • Ability to work independently and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
    • Familiarity with Google Suite, project management tools, and social media platforms is preferred.
