    Time Commitment: 4 hours per weekSTEM Canada is a registered not-for-profit global program specializing in advanced STEM-based educational curricula that emphasize the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The STEM program is open to all students from preschool to high school, with a mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application, preparing students for globally competitive results.Position OverviewThe Toxicology Teaching Assistant supports faculty in teaching introductory toxicology courses, conducting virtual lab sessions, and assisting students with their learning.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Virtual lab sessions, demonstrating techniques, and ensuring safety protocols.
    • Teaching and Lead online discussion sessions, hold office hours, and assist with course materials.
    • Grading: Grade assignments, quizzes, and exams, and maintain attendance and progress records.
    • Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols for virtual and hands-on toxicology exercises.
    • Student Support: Provide clarification and assistance to students in understanding complex concepts.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Toxicology, Biology, or a related field; graduate students preferred.
    • Strong understanding of toxicology principles, pharmacology, and related concepts.
    • Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus.
    • Ability to communicate complex topics in an accessible manner.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
