    Position: Non-Paid Volunteer Partnerships Team Member

    Role Description

    This is a volunteer remote role for a Graphic Designer at CLENT Africa. As a Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for creating graphics, designing logos and branding, working with typography, and ensuring visually appealing designs. Your day-to-day tasks will involve collaborating with the team to create visually engaging materials that align with our mission and initiatives.

    Qualifications

    • Graphics, Graphic Design, and Typography skills
    • Experience in logo design and branding
    • Proficiency in design software and tools
    • Strong attention to detail and creativity
    • Ability to work independently and remotely
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
    • Passion for sustainable development and environmental conservation
    • Experience or interest in working with open-source projects
    • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and your creative process.
    • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant tools.
    • Excellent visual design skills with a strong understanding of layout, typography, color, and branding.
    • Ability to translate complex ideas into visually appealing and easy-to-understand designs.
    • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
    • Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute innovative visual designs for digital and print media, including social media graphics, website banners, email campaigns, brochures, and presentations.
    • Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to create visually appealing and effective marketing materials.
    • Maintain and uphold CLENT Africa’s brand identity, ensuring consistency across all visual content.
    • Create original illustrations, infographics, and icons to support various content needs.
    • Assist in the design and layout of the company’s website and mobile app interfaces.
    • Work closely with the UX/UI team to ensure a cohesive and user-friendly design experience.
    • Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies, and incorporate them into your work.
    • Provide design support for special projects and events as needed.

    Expected Requirements:

    • Availability to dedicate at least 4 hours per week to volunteering for a minimum of 6 months (flexible hours within your availability).
    • Availability to attend a weekly meeting lasting 30 to 60 minutes.

    Additionally, it's important that you have:

    • Reliable internet access and your own computer/laptop.
    • Communication and organizational skills.
    • Intermediate proficiency in English (reading and writing).

    How Does the Volunteer Team Work?

    • Volunteer work is done remotely, and we meet once a week to update on the efforts made.
    • We chat on Whatsapp for faster communication & GitHub for assigning tasks

    • If you can't commit to donating volunteer time for 4 hours per week for the next 6 months - evaluate if you're going through a period of instability before applying.
    • If you don't enjoy dealing with people.
    • If you don't feel comfortable working remotely using digital platforms like GitHub.
