Volunteer opportunity for the 2024 Rally in the Ravine!

Description
North York General Foundation (NYGF) is currently recruiting enthusiastic volunteers for our 2024 Rally in the Ravine. With your participation, you’ll be helping to support mental health and orthopedics for North York and beyond.
As a volunteer, you will play an important role in making this community event a success, while simultaneously spending time outdoors in one of Toronto’s beautiful parks and meeting like-minded individuals.
Whether you are a high-school student looking to gain volunteer experience, or a community member looking to get involved, the Rally in the Ravine has something for everyone!
We look forward to joining our staff, sponsors, supporters and volunteers together for a day of celebration as we rally around health care for our diverse community.
The roles are the following:
- Site Set-Up - Support with festival set up, heavy lifting, support with vendor arrival
- Coffee Station Volunteer - Serve people food, manage line flow, keep area tidy
- Food and Beverage Supporter - Serve people food, manage line flow, keep area tidy
- Activation Zone Volunteer - Stations include: all onsite activations (bracelet table, etc), kids passport
- Route Marshal - Stationed along the route including water stations along the route
- Swag Bag Volunteer - Support NYGH Team with handing Swag Bags
- Medal Handler - Hand out medals to the participants
- Mascot - Engage with the crowd and cheer on the participants as Rocky the Raccoon
- Mascot Liason - Support Mascot on-site with directions
- Event Assistant - General festival or course related help as needed
- Site Tear Down - Support with festival and course tear down, general labour and heavy lifting
