    Description

    A Research Manager in a nonprofit organization oversees, manages, and collaborates with organizational leaders to develop a comprehensive research plan, identifies key areas that include data collection processes, and ensures accuracy and integrity.

    This includes:

    • Conducting surveys, interviews, focus groups, or analyzing secondary data.
    • Research projects that support the organization’s mission, goals, and programs.
    • Gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data that informs decision-making, program development, advocacy efforts, and fundraising strategies.
    • The Research Manager works closely with leadership and program teams to identify research needs, design methodologies, and ensure that research findings are aligned with the nonprofit's objectives.
    • Reporting and Dissemination once the research is conducted, the Research Manager creates. Assist with grant writing and fundraising by providing data and evidence that demonstrate the impact of the organization’s programs. They are responsible for contributing research to grant proposals or other funding requests.

    In addition to research, the Research Manager may oversee the organization’s monitoring and evaluation efforts, tracking the progress of programs and assessing their outcomes and impact.

    Overall, a Research Manager helps the nonprofit make data-driven decisions, improve program effectiveness, and strengthen its case for support in achieving its mission.
