    Experienced Board Members: Chicago Public Art Group

    Chicago Public Art Group is looking for experienced board members. Please contact chantal@chicagopublicartgroup.org for more information.

    We support communities by 1) Designing public art in partnership with residents and maintaining the highest standard of quality. 2) Introducing creative skills to youth and adults and providing them with tools to transform their physical environment. 3) Training and educating artists in creating community-responsive projects, enabling them to become leaders. 4) Educating communities about the social, aesthetic, and economic value of collaborative public art.

    CPAG’s strong working board includes demographic, economically, and professionally diverse representation. Two seats are designated for artists. The organization is focused on recruiting leaders who reflect the communities we serve. The board provides strategic direction, governance, financial oversight, and creative inspiration. They oversee the executive director’s performance and select the auditors and review and approve the audit and the form 990. They also support fundraising, public relations, and special events. The board meets 6 times per year.
