    Habitat for Humanity GTA is greater Toronto’s most recognized provider and advocate of solutions that tackle our region’s housing crisis. Our mission is to create a world where everyone has a safe, quality place to live. We focus on creative solutions to address the affordable housing crisis in Toronto, Brampton, Caledon, York Region, and Durham Region. With the help of volunteers, donors, and community partners, we unlock change for generations by bringing the benefits of home ownership to more people and communities.     Habitat GTA is growing. We are an innovative, entrepreneurial social enterprise that has been increasing our capacity for impact every year. Together, we are building a better, more inclusive GTA for everyone.

    What you need to know:

    • An online orientation session is required before your first volunteer shift.
    • Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.
    • Volunteers under 18 require a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
    • Shifts are self-scheduled via Online Registration.
    • Volunteer shifts run from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM, 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm Monday to Friday.
    • Able to lift 30 lbs using a dolly or pump truck and stand for extended periods.
    • CSA-approved green-label safety shoes are required (available onsite if needed).

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Organizing Inventory: Sorting and arranging products for easy access and retrieval.
    • Packaging Operations: Preparing products for shipment with appropriate packaging.
    • Setting Prices: Applying accurate pricing information to products.
    • Loading and Unloading Trucks: Safely handling the movement of goods onto and off trucks.
    • Skid Wrapping: Securing goods onto pallets using wrapping techniques.
    • Material Management: Handling materials within the warehouse efficiently.
    • Cleaning Items: Ensuring products and work areas are clean and organized.

    Position Benefits:
