    Description

Fund for Global Health is an advocacy organization working to increase the impact of U.S. global health aid in preventing death and disability.

Join a national team of citizens whose U.S. Representatives or Senators are on the Congressional subcommittees of Appropriations that fund foreign aid. (To see which Representatives and Senators are on these subcommittees, click here and here.) You will be coached and supported in small-group video chats on effective citizen advocacy, urging these key Members of Congress to support increased funding levels and other improvements for selected global health programs. Currently we are focused on funding for comprehensive primary health care and other forms of frontline health service delivery, and on increasing the effectiveness of U.S. global health programs through greater accountability for health results produced with our aid.

We are seeking volunteers who are constituents of these Representatives and Senators, to work about 6 hours a week for a minimum of 12 months. All activities can be conducted remotely.

This is an excellent opportunity to address major global health challenges and learn effective advocacy skills. We foster career development opportunities for those who want that.

    Qualifications:

    • Reliability; promptness in responding to communications
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
    • Helpful: experience in advocacy, outreach, organizing and training people
