    Description

    Mental Filmness Jury Member

We are seeking jury members to help screen and evaluate films for selection in our mental health-based film festival. Jury members can work completely virtually and on their own time to view and rate Filmfreeway submissions. A time commitment of 2-4 hours a week would be ideal but the hours and workload are both self-paced and flexible. The majority of the films we receive are shorts that are 5-20 minutes long. As much volunteer feedback as we can get by the end of August is helpful as our festival is always in October.

Mental Filmness receives hundreds of submissions from around the globe every year through our Filmfreeway site. They are diverse in many ways: in their genre, in their approach to mental illness, and in their cultural expression, just to name a few. It is important to have a diverse jury to offer different perspectives on the films. We would be interested in hearing about any unique cultural perspective, experience with mental illness, or experience with film you may have to offer. The minimum qualification, however, is simply a passion for movies and mental health advocacy.
